Overview
PKU Start is an amino acid-based powdered phenylalanine-free infant formula containing other essential and non-essential amino acids, carbohydrate, fat, vitamins, minerals, arachidonic acid (ARA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). For use in the dietary management of Phenylketonuria (PKU) from birth.
PKU start must only be consumed by individuals with proven PKU in conjunction with breast milk or infant formula to provide the phenylalanine, fluid and general nutritional requirements of the infant in quantities as advised by a clinician or dietitian. Not for intravenous use. For enteral use only. Not for use as a sole source of nutrition.
