We want everyone to be able to find and order the supplies they need on armadameds.com, including people who use a screen reader, screen magnification, voice control or a keyboard instead of a mouse.

Our standard

We work to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). For new work we aim for WCAG 2.2 Level AA, the current version of the guidelines.

What we do

  • Test our pages with automated accessibility tools and by keyboard, and fix the problems we find.
  • Re-test the store after changes to its design.
  • Describe product images in text, label form fields, keep text readable against its background, and let you zoom the page on phones and computers.
  • Add manual testing with screen readers to our regular checks.

Known limitations

  • Some product documents, such as instructions for use and safety data sheets, are PDF files supplied by the manufacturer and may not work well with assistive technology. Call or email us and we will read the information to you or send it in another format.
  • A few features on the site come from other providers, such as the chat window, the email sign-up pop-up and payment options. When we find a problem in one of them, we report it to that provider.
