Overview

O-PEP is an oscillating positive expiratory pressure device in which patients exhale into the device against a movable ball, causing a vibration that is transmitted to the lungs. It produces a range of oscillation frequencies between 6 and 20Hz and can be adjusted by changing the incline of the device. Positive expiratory pressure is a type of therapy that creates resistance pressure during exhalation. Used for airway stabilization and mucus clearance. For patients diagnosed with cystic fibrosis or lung disease with secretory problems. Helps efficiently loosen mucous and clear the airways.
