The BD Insyte Autoguard family of shielded IV catheters incorporates the BD push-button shielding technology, designed to safeguard clinicians from accidental needlesticks. Made of BD Vialon biomaterial which softens when in the vein, these catheters reduce the riskof phlebitis and increase dwell times. Available in winged and non-winged configurations, and a 0.56 length for patients with small and compromised veins.
